DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in TippingPoint IPS, which can be
exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is cause due to an error in the TOS (TippingPoint
OS) when handling certain HTTP traffic. This can be exploited to
cause the device to utilise a large amount of CPU resources.

The vulnerability has been reported in versions 2.1.3.6323 and prior,
and in version 2.2.0.6504.

SOLUTION:
The vulnerability has been fixed in TOS versions 2.1.4.6324 and
2.2.1.6506 available via the Threat Management Center.
