TITLE:
DB_eSession "deleteSession()" Function SQL Injection

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA18805

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/18805/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Manipulation of data

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
DB_eSession 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/8010/

DESCRIPTION:
James Bercegay has reported a vulnerability in DB_eSession, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

Input passed in cookie data to the "deleteSession()" function is not
properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code
(e.g. deleting all sessions in the database).

The vulnerability has been reported in versions 1.0.2 and prior.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
