SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/18930/

CRITICAL:
Highly critical

IMPACT:
System access

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
Admbook 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/8159/

DESCRIPTION:
rgod has reported a vulnerability in Admbook, which can be exploited
by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "X-Forwarded-For" header in the HTTP request
isn't properly sanitised before being saved to the "content-data.php"
file. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary PHP code into the
file.

Successful exploitation requires that the "banned-ip-data.php" file
is not properly configured with it's default value.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.2.2 and prior.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
