DESCRIPTION:
Evgeny Legerov has reported a vulnerability in FreeBSD, which can be
exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the handling of
NFS mount requests. This can be exploited to cause kernel panic via a
specially-crafted request sent to the "nfsd" daemon on port 2049/tcp.

The vulnerability has been reported in the FreeBSD 6.0 kernel. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict access to the affected service using a firewall.
