TITLE:
EKINboard Multiple Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA19045

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/19045/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Security Bypass, Cross Site Scripting, Manipulation of data

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
Ekinboard 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/6120/

DESCRIPTION:
Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu has reported some vulnerabilities in EKINboard,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection
and script insertion attacks.

1) Input passed in [img] BBcode tags is not properly sanitised before
being converted to HTML. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary
HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an
affected site when the malicious data is viewed.

2) Input passed to the "$_COOKIE['username']" and
"$_COOKIE['password']" variables in config.php is not properly
sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to
manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code e.g. making it
possible to bypass the user authentication.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 1.0.3. Prior
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
The vendor has published instructions for patching the software:
