CRITICAL:

IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
CubeCart 2.x
http://secunia.com/product/4021/
CubeCart 3.x
http://secunia.com/product/6838/

DESCRIPTION:
Lostmon has discovered some vulnerabilities in CubeCart, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.

Some input isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the
user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code
in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Examples:
http://[host]/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=1">[code]
http://[host]/index.php?act=viewDoc&docId=3">[code]
http://[host]/index.php?act=viewProd">[code]
http://[host]/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=1">[code]
http://[host]/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=saleItems">[code]
http://[host]/index.php?searchStr=[code]&act=viewCat
http://[host]/cart.php?act=reg&redir=[code]
"username" parameter passed to "index.php?act=login"

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 3.0.7-pl1. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
