Sun Microsystems has acknowledged a vulnerability in Solaris, which
can be exploited by malicious users to bypass certain security
restrictions.

The vulnerability has been reported in Solaris 9 on both the SPARC
and x86 platforms.

SOLUTION:

Restrict access of the FTP service to trusted users only.
