TITLE:
gtd-php Cross-Site Scripting and Script Insertion Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA19512

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/19512/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
gtd-php 0.x
http://secunia.com/product/9122/

DESCRIPTION:
Jericho has discovered some vulnerabilities in gtd-php, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and
script insertion attacks.

1) Input passed to various fields in newProject.php, newList.php,
newWaitingOn.php, newChecklist.php, newContext.php, newCategory.php,
and newGoal.php is not properly sanitised before being used. This can
be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be
executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site
when the malicious user data is viewed.

2) Input passed to the "listTitle" parameter in listReport.php, the
"projectName" parameter in projectReport.php, and the
"checklistTitle" parameter in checklistReport.php is not properly
sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 0.5. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
