DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in TIBCO Rendezvous, which can be
exploited by malicious people to cause DoS (Denial of Service) and
potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the TIBCO
Rendezvous daemon components when handling certain requests received
via the HTTP administrative interface. This can be exploited to cause
a buffer overflow and may allow arbitrary code execution.

The vulnerability has been reported in the following components in
TIBCO Rendezvous versions prior to 7.5.1, TIBCO Runtime Agent (TRA)
versions prior to 5.4, and in TIBCO Hawk versions prior to 4.6.1.

  • TIBCO Rendezvous Routing Daemon (rvrd)
  • TIBCO Rendezvous Secure Routing Daemon (rvsrd)
  • TIBCO Rendezvous Secure Daemon (rvsd)
  • TIBCO Rendezvous Cache (rvcache)
  • TIBCO Rendezvous Agent (rva)

SOLUTION:
Update TIBCO Rendezvous to version 7.5.1 or later.
