DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been reported in AIX, which can be exploited by
malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The problem is that mkvg invokes various other programs (chdev,
mkboot, varyonvg, and varyoffvg) without absolute pathnames. This may
be exploited to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of a user
running mkvg by placing a malicious program in the path.
SOLUTION:
Apply APARs.
