DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Linksys WRT54GXv2, which can be
exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security
restrictions.

If Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is enabled, the Linksys WRT54GXv2
also accepts UPnP requests sent to the WAN interface. This can e.g.
be exploited to open arbitrary ports by sending an "AddPortMapping"
command to the device.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 2.00.05. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Reportedly, this is fixed in firmware versions 2.00.08 and above.
