TITLE:
PHP Classifieds Cross-Site Scripting and File Upload Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA34410

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/34410/

DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in PHP Classifieds, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks and malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Input appended to the query string after "index.php?" is not
properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in the context of an affected site.

2) An error exists in the file upload functionality due to the
"upload_video.php" script not properly checking file extensions. This
can be exploited to upload files with arbitrary extensions and e.g.
execute arbitrary PHP code.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 7.3. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
