Summary:
RSA Web Threat Detection version 5.1 SP1 contains fixes for multiple vulnerabilities that could potentially be exploited by malicious users to compromise the affected system.

Details:
The vulnerabilities addressed in RSA Web Threat Detection 5.1 SP1 are:

· Sensitive Information Exposure - CVE-2015-4547
The password for RSA Web Threat Detection’s AnnoDB database is stored in cleartext in a system configuration file. Attacker with read access to the file can potentially obtain the password and may compromise the database.
CVSS v2 Base Score: 6.5 (AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:P)

· Privilege escalation - CVE-2015-4548
Under certain conditions, it is possible for a user with a service account to run commands as root by inserting commands in a service configuration file.
CVSS v2 Base Score: 7.2 (AV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C)

Recommendation:
The following RSA Web Threat Detection release contains resolutions to these vulnerabilities:

· RSA Web Threat Detection version 5.1 SP1

RSA recommends all customers upgrade to this version at the earliest opportunity.
